As the vibrant energy of summer begins to settle, we enter Late Summer—a time for grounding, reflection, and returning to centre. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this season is linked with the Earth Element and its paired organs: the Stomach and Spleen. These organs help us process, digest, and find emotional and physical balance.
Join us for a 3-hour retreat designed to support and nourish you as the seasons begin to shift.
What to expect:
• Calming breath work to land in the moment
• Gentle Qi Gong-inspired stretching to awaken Earth energy
• A vinyasa flow sequence supporting the stomach and spleen meridians
• Deeply restful restorative yoga

What to Expect:
Seasonal Yoga & the Early Summer Meridians:
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, early summer is connected to the Pericardium (protector of the heart) and the Triple Heater (our internal harmonizer of body systems). These meridians govern connection, boundaries, and regulation. Our practice will focus on softening tension in the upper body, opening the chest and shoulders, and restoring energetic balance across the body.
Grounding Breathwork
Seasonal Yoga Flow:
Guided Yoga Nidra:
Drop into profound rest with a Yoga Nidra practice delivered through your headphones. The live DJ will weave ambient sound to guide you through a deeply restoring journey — ideal for nervous system reset and emotional integration.
Qi Gong/Yoga Body Clock Flow:
We’ll explore a movement sequence based on the body’s natural energetic rhythms. This blend of Qi Gong and yoga aligns with the body’s internal clock, helping to circulate energy, release tension, and support full-body harmony.

Reflections on Our Spring Awakening Mini Retreat
What a truly special afternoon we shared at The Space Upstairs for our Spring Awakening Mini Retreat! From start to finish, everything flowed seamlessly - the movement, the stillness, and the carefully curated sounds that carried us through the experience.
One of the most unique aspects of this retreat was the presence of our live DJ, creating an immersive soundscape that guided our practice. The music was carefully chosen to mirror the rhythm of our journey - from gentle opening movements to deep relaxation, blending effortlessly. This fusion of live music, movement, and stillness created an experience that felt both grounding and expansive.
Beyond the practice itself, the retreat was also about connection - taking time to pause, reflect, and share. Over tea and light refreshments, we came together to talk, laugh, and embrace the sense of renewal that spring brings.
Thank you to everyone who joined and brought their energy into the space. It was a beautiful afternoon of release, restoration, and intention-setting for the season ahead.
